Just a quick outfit post from last weekend. We went down to spend the weekend with Eoin’s family in Cork and had such a great time getting out an exploring the sites West Cork. We traveled down to see the town of Schull and Mizen Head and Brow Head, the southern most points of Ireland. I’ll be posting more picks of those gorgeous places later, so you can see how wild and windswept the edge of Western Europe looks.
Eoin and I snuck away to the town of Kinsale to take these pictures and go for a stroll through the picturesque streets. I’ve been to Kinsale a few times now, but everytime I return I find new streets, boutiques, cafes and restaurants that I missed before. When my Dad and Stepmother were here for the wedding this summer we went to the coziest tapas restaurant and wine bar, The Black Pig. I highly recommend the local oysters, mushrooms on toast and the prawns, but make sure you make a reservation! The place fills up by 6:30. This time I noticed the restaurant, Bastion, and can’t wait to come back and try some of their Mediterranean inspired small plates. I’ll keep you posted!
This Sunday I just wanted to keep it casual. Let’s be honest, I usually want to keep it casual. So I wore this cozy striped sweater I picked up at H&M (for just 20 euros!) and my favorite boyfriend jeans. I completed the outfit with these great snakeskin boots I bought a couple of years ago that I don’t wear that often because they can be tricky to style. I’ve been seeing so many snakeskin boots again this year though that it really breathed new life into them for me. I’ve linked two very similar styles below. They work with this outfit because it’s really neutral and simple, and the stripes are a large scale pattern which balances the small pattern of the snakeskin.
